DeLeon
Patsy De
Leon is a Training Consultant, with hands-on experience
in the area of Communications Skills Development,
Personnel Development and Senior Secretarial Development.
Patsy
DeLeon has been conducting Secretarial
seminars and workshops since January
1972 to date for most of the major business
firms and Government Institutions in the Philippines
as well as public seminars organized by, among
others, the Philippine Association of Secretaries,
Philippine Psychological Corp., Executive Training
Institute of the Philippines, Manpower Philippines,
Inc., Staffbuilders, Inc., Pacific Management
Forum, and Rayma-Emmy Garon Consultancy, Inc.
She
worked for Shell for over 30 years, a company
she joined in 1959 as a Stenographer and rose
from the ranks to occupy senior secretarial
positions. She was Senior Executive Secretary
to the President and Chief Executive of The
Shell Companies in the Philippines from May
1973 to June 1984.
Patsy
assumed the position of Head, Training and Special
Assistant to the President from July 1984
to December 1987 and Recruitment and Training
Manager from January 1988. She was the Principal
Resource Person for Senior Secretarial Workshops
run annually by the Shell EA Regional Training
Scheme in the different cities of Southeast
Asia. She was part of the pool of facilitators
of the Shell Regional Training Scheme and resourced
among others, numerous programs.
She has also done secretarial programs for the
Brunei Government and Brunei Shell.
In
Malaysia she conducted Secretarial and Communication
Courses for the Malaysian Institute of
Personnel Management from 1987 – 1989. In addition
to that, she lead Secretarial Workshops on Business
Communication Skills for Shell Kuala Lumpur
and Sarawak Shell from 1991 to 1995.
Patsy
is a Consultant and Resource Person for Secretarial,
Women in Management and Supervisory Courses
organized by Rayma Management Consultants (M’sia)
Sdn Bhd from 1989 todate.
She
was awarded a Certificate in Training and Development
by the London Institute of Training and Development.
Adjudged ”Most Outstanding Secretary, 1971”
– a nation-wide contest conducted by the Philippine
Association of Secretaries, a title held for
15 years till August 1986.
