Presentations must provide practical, real-world information that attendees can immediately apply back at their job. Evaluations of previous sessions show that attendees value sessions that present practical tools and techniques and case studies showcasing successes (and cautionary failures).Selection Criteria
Proposals will be reviewed based on the following criteria:The programme committee does not have preset quotas for presentations.- Well-defined, realistic learning outcomes which can be met in the allotted time
- Specific and informative content that develops links between research and practice, including real case studies/results
- Content that is new, practical and complete.
- Methodology that promotes a learning experience for participants and is appropriate for content.
- Presenters with extensive knowledge and expertise in the related field.
- Presenters from more than one culture or institution.
However, balance is sought in the areas of:Final selection will be based on the focus, relevance of subject, clarity of thought, approach to the subject, speaker's expertise and experience in making presentations.- Presenter background
- Leading issues and regions presented
- Newness in content
- Delivery methodology
- Appropriateness of fit to sub-themes
Attendees are attracted to the Conference by the sessions and speakers advertised. Presenters, session titles, and content are expected to correspond to your proposal. Any substitutions must be approved by the 4As Malaysia.
If your proposal is accepted, you will be required to :
Conference Schedule- Submit handout material to support your presentation
- Agree not to market your products/ services during your session
Speakers may only present one session as the sole presenter, and one additional session as a member of a panel or workshop. Presentations may occur on any day of the conference. You must be able to speak on the day assigned. All sessions are are either 60 or 90 minutes in length.Guidelines For Submitting Proposals
Working language of the Conference is English. Please submit your proposal in English. Proposals must be typed or word-processed. Please use text no smaller than 12-point type size. Must be of such a quality that they may be photocopied. Handwritten proposals and proposals that do not follow the instructions will not be considered.Suggested parameters or specialist inputs, potential speakers should prepare an outline that would adequately deal with, probe in-depth or address its challenges from a creative or brand building perspective. As it is a goal of the conference to cover all this and additional related issues/topics, Speakers and Facilitators selection will be based on the first hand experience of the subject - as a practitioner - rather than from a theoretical or academic view.
We seek contributors who can present actual cases of best practices, problems, solutions or practical strategies / skills that delegates can use, adapt or apply and relate to their professional roles.
Additional Information Required
In order to allow for anonymous review, no other personal information should appear on the attached pages.Additional statement (maximum 200 words) if applying for special funding which is available for a limited number of individual presenters coming from lesser developed countries or charities.- Presentation Abstract: A description (maximum 200 words) of the session (including content, methodology, and learning outcomes) on a separate sheet of paper. The title of the topic should appear at the top of this page.
- A one-page Curriculum Vitae for each presenter complete with name, nature of presenter's organisation, her/his role or function, experience, presentations, and publication. If possible, include two references (names, addresses, phone and fax numbers) who can speak for your work and presentation style.
- Include the following information on one sheet of paper for the Final Brochure:
- Session Description: A 50-word description of the learning methods to be used in your session.
- Brief Profile: On the presenter, including name and any affiliation to any Associations (30 words). The Committee may choose to edit or augment the description with any material presented in this proposal.
Registration
As a nonprofit association, the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Malaysia does not provide honorarium for session presentations. One speaker per session will be provided a complimentary registration for the full conference. Besides hotel accommodation, you must be able to cover your own travel and living expenses.Notification
