Here is a living tale of how a strong and courageous family came to terms with tragedy and turned their grieve into compassion. On Dec 24 1998, a 16-year-old school boy Wang Yi Han from Melaka passed away after fighting for his life for 3 days and 3 nights. A youngster accidentally knocked down Yi Han when he was crossing the main road. Mr. Wang Chin Khon and his wife, fighting back grieve and enormous pain, upon the death of their only son, decided to donate organs from Yi Han to needy patients. The Wang family has also forgiven the young man who caused the accident. Inspired by the selfless compassion of the Wang family, a group of volunteers in Melaka came forward to champion a nationwide DONATE ORGAN CAMPAIGN. Pahlawans have been asked to support this exercise and we feel honored that we can participate. To date 94 groups and associations from Malaysia answered the groups' call.
